Precautionary Measures in Makino Asia for COVID‑19

On 21 April 2020, the Singapore Government announced the extension of the circuit breaker period until 1 June 2020 (inclusive). Makino Asia, which had earlier received the exemption approval to operate, will continue our business operations.
9 April 2020 Update
Pertaining to our 7th April 2020 notice regarding Singapore Government “circuit breaker” measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, Makino Asia has since received the official exemption approval from Singapore Government to continue our operations during the “circuit breaker” period.
Singapore, 7 April, 2020 -- The Singapore Government announced bold steps to activate “Circuit Breaker” measures by shutting down most workplaces and schools island wides from 7th April to 4th May to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. Makino Asia has put up our exemption application from the suspension of business activities for approval as we are part of the global supply chain providing goods and services to essential sectors in the aerospace, semiconductor, medical, packaging industries to name a few.
We will continue with our daily work activities in our company premises unless situation worsens. But things will not be business as usual. Internally we have put in place even stricter countermeasures to contain any potential spread of virus in the company.
a. Telecommuting – Working from Home as much as possible
b. Safe distancing measures at the workplace to reduce physical interactions, staggering working hours, postponing all group events & implementing shift work and/or split team arrangement
c. Mandatory wearing of masks at the workplace
d. Upkeep hygiene standard among employees
e. Install TraceTogether app in all employees’ mobile phone
We also continue to work with our supply chain and market support organizations to establish stricter countermeasures to contain any potential spread of virus.
