Growing the techno-logy landscape

The demand for machine tools with innovative technology spurred Makino Asia in 2009 to open its S$75M International Research and Development (IRD) Centre in Singapore, Makino’s only R&D centre outside of Japan.  It houses talents recruited globally from various fields and serve as a hotbed for new ideas, technologies, or products generation, resulting in the creation of valuable intellectual properties.

In 2019, Makino Asia  launched its advanced machining factory in Singapore as a model machining factory incorporating state-of-the-art technologies that continues to rival other technologically-advanced countries like Germany, Japan, and Switzerland.

Both the IRD Centre and advanced machining factory continues to be leaders in machine tool research and building that meet the needs of customers globally.
